Sigurður Erlingsson new general manager of Northeast Iceland Savings Bank

Sigurður Erlingsson has been appointed director of Sparisjóður Suður-Þingeyinga, the Northeast Iceland Savings Bank. Sigurður holds a degree in Business Administration from Andrews University in the United States, a degree in Securities Brokerage, an M.Sc. degree in Business Administration from the University of Iceland with an emphasis on Finance and an MBA from Reykjavík University.

For the past three years, Sigurður has worked as the CFO of HEKLA hf car dealership and served on the company’s executive board. In the years 2010-2015, Sigurður was the CEO of the Housing Financing Fund.

Sigurður is married to Nanna Guðný Sigurðardóttir, a physiotherapist who works as the quality manager of Hrafnista and together they have two boys. Sigurður will start working for the savings bank in the next few days.
