Bryndís Sigurðardóttir appointed project manager for Regional Development in Öxarfjörður

Bryndís Sigurðardóttir has been appointed project manager of the Öxarfjörður Regional Development Project. The project is run by Byggðastofnun, the Regional Development Agency of Iceland, in cooperation with Norðurþing municipality and local individuals and organizations. It is a part of the ongoing Fragile Communities project.

Bryndís was chosen from a group of six applicants. She is a native of Southern Iceland, but has lived on the Westfjords for the past years and has been active in local issues in small communities. She will start in January with her office in Kópasker village.
